Hi Kjersti,
There is a big base for flightst Antarctica out of Wellington,NZ. If you went that route you could get there a few day early and catch a local flight to NZ northlands to see more of the maouri religon, cultre and carvings. That is my preference because I get to spend a few days with my daughter who is now a Nz resident. Also I think that the NZ bases are pritier than the american ones. I think NSF flies its people out of somewhere in South America. Thanks for the comment on the article. Too badyou did not post it, I could use te points.

Thanks for the photo comment. It's the exception... I've taken thousands of pictures and rarely capture a photograph - I'm far better as a music producer!
Send me a Postcard from Antarctica when you return. It has to have penguins. Or seals. Or sharks.
