I am a college graduate with a degree in History with a Religious Studies minor at age 19. I love travel and working with kids. My current goal is to one day return to Anarctica and write a book called Postcards from Antarctica. I want to do it with the NSF writers grant, but if that does not work out I am working on saving up to afford to go on another cruise there.

Hi Kjersti,
There is a big base for flightst Antarctica out of Wellington,NZ. If you went that route you could get there a few day early and catch a local flight to NZ northlands to see more of the maouri religon, cultre and carvings.

That is my preference because I get to spend a few days with my daughter who is now a Nz resident. Also I think that the NZ bases are pritier than the american ones.

I think NSF flies its people out of somewhere in South America.

Thanks for the photo comment. It's the exception... I've taken thousands of pictures and rarely capture a photograph - I'm far better as a music producer!

Send me a Postcard from Antarctica when you return. It has to have penguins. Or seals. Or sharks.
